Another long period between working on the room, think this was due to the amount of traveling i was/am doing and I was just tired. So I took another few weeks off from the renovating. Anyway this was just a small piece of the skirting board, I've not photographed it all, it's pretty much the same all round to room. However it's not all the same, along the wall under the window, the skirting board appears to be new (well at least relatively) and much like the window sill the paint did not want to come off, the rest of it was pretty straightforward though.

At last I finally got to the point of the renovation, I finally started plastering the walls, now to be fair this is not fully plastering the walls, merely skimming over the old plaster or cement in those places where I have had to fill in large holes.

So am I a plasterer, err no, never done it before in my life.

So how have I learnt, well I've not been on any courses or anything like that, but I have watched videos on YouTube, this is the one that I got most of the information from https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2r4nreZCyho This was the first coat of plaster, not perfect, but not bad by any means, overall it was fairly smooth but did need a second coat, and to be fair a third in the end,
